Our new house.....finally!!!

Three days after Lou's 3rd birthday, on June 25, 2008 we finally settled on our new home. Chris and I were so excited to have our first home that the numerous closing delays were just a fading memory as we moved in and started our life here in beautiful Boiling Springs, South Carolina!




The room I set up first and take the most pride in is Lou's playroom. We moved in on a Wednesday evening, and I had this room up and running full force by 4PM on Thursday!! Lou was more than happy to help me un-pack all his toys, so I had a lot of help too!

Lou's 3rd Birthday!!!

Lou turned 3 years old right as we encountered yet another delay in the closing on our house. So for his birthday, we just took the day to focus on him and have some fun. We took our annual birthday picture, including Daddy this time and then just spent a family day together.

We took Lou to see "Space Chimps", it was his first time seeing a movie in the theater. He enjoyed the movie, but if it weren't for the bucket of popcorn and me blocking the exit to our row of seating, Lou wouldn't have been able to sit still that long.

There was quite a downpour that day, so Lou got to enjoy the big puddle opportunities outside our apartment one last time with Daddy as a special treat for his birthday.

And as is the joy of Lou, his facial expression clearly displays his mood! Here is one very happy 3 year old!
