Lou starts full time pre-school!

Yup, you read that right. At just 3 years old, Lou goes to pre-school 5 days a week. This was a very big change for both Lou and I since we were very accustomed to sleeping in.....and not having a "schedule".

This is Lou, all ready to go to school on his first day:

I snapped a quick picture when I picked him up a few hours later. He wasn't too sure about wearing a chicken on his head, haha.

Because of Lou's speech disorder, he qualified for this special pre-school class that helps 3 and 4 year olds catch up on their development before it's time for kindergarten. Lou is one of just 5 kids who attend the morning session. He has made tremendous progress in both his language capabilities and his social development.

House-sitting at Gramma's

We are fortunate to live close to Chris' parents, so Lou and I jump at the chance to house-sit for them when they go on vacation. There are never-ending adventures to be had at Gramma and Pa's house.....including Lou sleeping in a tent that we set up in the house!!!

Another fun adventure is getting to take Bud on walks in the woods! Lou is always excited at the chance to play ball, even though Bud can't always be convinced to play.

And here is the gorgeous flower bush that I was entrusted to care for. I'm not a plant person by nature but I follow instructions very well, so that is the only reason why this bush survived a week under my care, haha.
